Welcome to the Richard and Carole Cocks collection. The Richard and Carole Cocks collection consists of over 60 artworks donated to the museum alongside funds which support the aquisition and maintenence of collections, as well as curatorial research.

Richard and Carole Cocks began their art collecting journey visiting Cincinnati area art galleries every Sunday morning. The majority of the Cocks collection focuses on Ohio-based, 19th to 20th century American art and large Chinese porcelains.

Richard and Carole Cocks's first donation to the museum was in 1983, with two dozen pieces of fine porcelain from the 18th and 19th centuries.

On December 2, 2022, Richard Cocks was honored for donating the largest outright gift in the museum's history. The "Miami University Art Museum" was named the "Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum" in honor of Richard and his late wife, Carole.

Richard and Carole Cocks have been donors to the museum for over 40 years. Their most recent gift supports the future renovation and expansion of the building, as well as aquisitions and maintenance of collections. In addition to this most recent gift, Richard and Carole Cocks also established a fund in the 1990s to support curatorial research on the museum's collections. Richard Cocks' vision is that the art museum will become one of the best college teaching museums in the country while making it more of a destination for visitors.

The Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum (RCCAM) is pleased to introduce this digital exhibition of the Richard and Carole Cocks collection.
