Apache
"[Some] baskets are traditionally used in marking rites of passage and the celebration of births, marriages and deaths. Baskets full of corn pollen are an important part of an Apache girl's Sunrise, when she becomes a woman. The Jicarilla Apaches employ three or five [bunched rods sewn with sumac] and the Western Apache three rods sewn with willow and devil's claw."
