Makah
Prior to the 1860s, designs on baskets were uncommon within Makah basketry. After the 1860s, several major design styles emerged, including realistic animal designs, the whale and whale hunt, sealing, blue elk, otters, geometric designs, and lightning. Most baskets are made using coiling and twining.
