Paiute
"Paiutes made baskets primarily from locally available willow, as well as a few other materials, such as bracken fern root, bulrush root, and yucca root, that were obtained in trade and occassionally used for patterns. In twined basketry, the weft strands were the moving or active elements, given a half twist as the weaver pulled them between and around the stiff, stationary, or passibe elements, known as the warp rods."
