Funerary Mask

This Exhibition consits of the objects in the Miami University Art Museum's permanent collection that are classified as Anceint Egyptian. The majority of the objects in this collection were donated by Walter I. Farmer. Theodore T. Foley also contributed some of the objects in this collection. Walter Farmer was a founding donor of the Miami University Art Museum when it opened in 1978. This collection consist of a variety of objects, many of which were used in the everyday lives of the Ancient Egyptians. The pieces are dated from the Predynastic period through the Roman Occupation of Egypt. This gives them a timeline from around 4000 B.C.E to the 4th century C.E.
